The first round of the 2011 edition of the BossGP championship started with a big shunt for Zele-Racing customer Peter Randlshofer. During the Saturday morning Qualifying session he tangled wheels with multiple BossGP racewinner Klaas Zwart entering the Opel-curve at Hockenheim. The unnecessary contact between the cars sent Randlshofer airborne and into a roll. Luckily the German driver escaped the crash unhurt with just some bruises to his thumb and shoulder.

Race 1 on Saturday was won by Arnold Wagner (GER) in his Arrows A22, whilst race 2 on sunday was dominated by Marijn van Kalmthout (NL) in his Benetton F1.

Some weeks ago Slovenian driver Marjan Smrdelj´s new Lola B02/50 F3000 left our factory in Bleiburg.  Smrdelj, who used the older B99/50 chassis over the past four years, decided to go for something more up-to-date whilst the engine remained the same. He will continue using his original F3000 spec. Zytek 3.0 V8 KV powerplant in his new racer. Further, Zele-Racing has fitted a geartronics paddleshift system to the car, which will be running in Slovenian and occasionally Austrian hillclimb championship races. The magnificent paintjob in original Ferrari colours and livery was realised by one of Smredelj´s sponsors in Slovenia.
