Austrian former F1 ace Christian Klien will start for our team, Zele Racing, at the AutoGP World Series event in Mugello, Italy, this weekend. The 30–year-old has been one of the F1 top prospects of the 21st century, making his debut for Jaguar F1 in 2004. Retained by Red Bull Racing in the following years, he competed in 49 Formula One Grands Prix in total.Christian continued as a test and development driver for Honda, Spyker and BMW Sauber, before returning to the F1 grid with Spanish-based outfit HRT in the closing rounds of the 2010 season. More recently, Klien was a regular driver for the Peugeot Le Mans programme, but has also been racing worldwidely in Touring Car and GT Series, and he is now going to give a comeback in Formula racing. It will not only be Christian’s first outing in AutoGP and with Austria’s second highest ranking outfit, Zele Racing, but also his premiere at Autodromo Mugello near Florence.
