Brasilian Zele-Racing driver Antonio Pizzonia will return to race action in race 2 today. Pizzonia who suffered injury on his right hand during yesterday´s lap 1 crash in Turn 2 at the Infineon Raceway at Sonoma, was given green light by the doctors to start the AutoGP race 2 this afternoon.
Antonio Pizzonia: „I am looking forward to race today. I cut my hand on a sharp edge in the cockpit when i crashed into Adrian Quaife-Hobbs car yesterday. It had to be fixed with 8 stitches. It obviousely hurts, but i will do my best to score some points. It´s a very long way to the podium and it will be a tough race. Let´s see how it goes.“
Michael Zele:“ It´s good that Antonio is ok to be back in the car. We did our best to fix his car which was heavily damaged in time.“
