Zele-Racing driver Andi Zuber secured Poleposition for Race 2 of the Interseries in the second Qualifying session earlier today. With an impressive laptime of 1.19.755 (average speed 195,3 kph) he outqualified the opposition by over 5 seconds.
Michael Zele:“ Together with Andi we decided yesterday afternoon to use the GP2 for today´s Race 2. Anything else but the pole would have been a disappointment, really. We see this weekend as on opportunity to test our car. And of course it´s great in front of a home crowd to start the race from Pole.“
Andi Zuber:“ I only had 3 or 4 timed laps, but it´s so difficult to get a clear run with all the slower cars out there. Even in my fast lap i had to overtake 3 cars. I think there´s another couple of seconds in the used set of tires, but we´ll see if we can improve the laptime with 50kg fuel on board.“
Race 2 at the RedBull Ring will start 4:50 p.m. today.
