Germany’s Hans Laub won a surprise podium at the BOSS GP Series event at the Red Bull Ring
Hans Laub was the biggest surprise of the BOSS GP event at the Austrian Red Bull Ring in Spielberg.
The German started in a Forti FG03, which had not competed in a race since leaving Formula One in 1996.
Laub had the car prepared at Austrian Zele Racing and sensationally came third in Spielberg.
“It’s simply amazing. I was so surprised myself to be on the podium. It’s wonderful“, Laub was all smiles.
The race was won by Ingo Gerstl (Toro Rosso) who also took the lead in the overall standings.
BOSS GP will return to the track from June 17 to 19 at the Nürburgring.
