The Austrian outfit scored two podiums in a rollercoaster weekend
Zele Racing earned two podium finishes at the AutoGP season opening weekend at the Adria International Raceway.
On Saturday, Rookie Dominik Fekete scored Zele Racing’s first Top3 of the season. Despite starting from the pitlane, the Hungarian youngster fought his way through the field and came third in a DNF-packed event.
Team leader Luis SSilva had a good start from P2 and was putting a lot of pressure on polesitter Luis Michael Dörrbecker setting the fastest lap of the race. However following the leader in dirty air all race long cooked his brakes, so the Angolan ultimately had to stop his car and retire.
Third driver Zoltán Fekete went slightly off track battling for the podium. He spun and stalled the engine ending his race.
On Sunday, a totally exhausted SSilva brought his Lola home on P2 after starting from last on the grid Sunday. „The car was good, but i just could not push harder anymore. Having been out of the car for one year did not help.“
Zoltán Fekete finished on P4 just ahead of Dominik Fekete.
