Zele Racing will defend its 2015 AutoGP driver and team titles entering three cars in next week’s season opener
The Austrian outfit has named Luis Sa Silva, Hungarian talent Dominik Fekete and his uncle Zoltán Fekete as its line-up at the first race weekend at the Adria International Raceway
„The AutoGP Series will only be racing on Italian tracks this season to make participating more affordable for teams. But there are still some strong teams on the grid. We do of course want to fight for wins and are confident we will do so” team boss Michael Zele said.
Angolan Sa Silva, who pocketed a win for Zele last season finishing third in the overall standings, has been promoted to team leader. „I am looking forward to the new season and want to keep up my good form.”
Particularly interesting will be how Dominik Fekete is faring. The 18-year-old has only started racing in 2010, but quickly swapped from Karting to Formula Renault 1.6 after.
Following immediate success in the Central European Zone Championship, he moved up to Formula Renault 2.0 in 2013 and later raced with BMW in touring cars. „I love Formula cars. So I am delighted that Zele Racing has given me this opportunity”, he is all excited.
The AutoGP season starts with Race 1 on Saturday, May 7 at 7:30 pm. Race 2 is takes off on Sunday, May 8 at 11:00 am.
