Although last season action in the AutoGP series was suspended, Zele is considering a return to the series
Zele Racing won both the driver and team titles in the AutoGP season last year. The Austrian outfit won three of four races (Antonio Pizzonia 2, Luis Sa Silva 1), before the championship was halted.
“We have been part of AutoGP for several years and enjoy a good relationship with series organiser Enzo Coloni. So, now that the a new season will take off, we want to be on the grid again“, team boss Michael Zele said.
The three cars driven by Antonio Pizzonia, Luis SaSilva and Andres Méndez in 2015 „have been newly set up and are ready to go.”
The 2016 season will be the seventh year of the Auto GP, which will be open to all single-seater cars from 2 to 4 liters, e.g. Formula One, GP2, WSR, Formula 3000, Formula Masters and Formula 3.
The championship will begin on 9 April at Misano and finish on 16 October in Mugello after six double-header rounds.
