The Austrian outfit takes both wins at the British AutoGP weekend
Following his victory in Budapest, Antonio Pizzonia doubled-up in Silverstone triumphing in Saturday’s run of the AutoGP series and extended his lead in the championship.
On Sunday, Luis Sa Silva crossed the chequered flag on P1 presenting Zele with another victory. Pizzonia came third and Andres Mendez placed on P6.
“The lads did a great job and made it a perfect weekend for us” team boss Michael Zele was delighted.
While Pizzonia is leading the driver standings, Zele Racing is on top spot in the teams‘ championship.
“It’s of course nice to look at the standings now, however, that’s just a snapshot and the season is still long. Nonetheless, we do have a winning streak.”
AutoGP will move to Le Castellet, France next in a month’s time (June 27/28).
In the meantime, Zele Racing is Austria‘ only starter at the season opener of the brand-new Renault RS01 Trophy on May 30/31 in Spa-Francorchamps.
