The Angolan ace returns to the AutoGP grid for 2015 with Zele
Zele Racing will field three cars at the AutoGP season opener in Budapest next week as Luis Sa Silva has rejoined the team.
The 24-year-old African, who finished runner-up for Zele Racing in last season’s closer at Estoril, will team up with Antonio Pizzonia and Andres Mendez.
„We have been working with Luis for quite some time. His performance in Estoril was outstanding, so we are keen on extending the partnership for Budapest,” team boss Michael Zele said.
“It would of course be great to have him on board for the entire season and we are keeping our fingers crossed that he can settle a deal with his sponsors.”
Sa Silva, who finished second in the Asian Formula Renault Challenge in 2009 and in the Formula Pilota China two years later, is excited to be back with the Austrian outfit again.
“I am delighted Zele Racing gives me the chance to race in Budapest. We are still negotiating with our major sponsors to secure an all-season deal. But if I do well in Hungary, things should probably be easier”, he said.
The 2015 AutoGP season opens with the race weekend in Hungary on May 2, where Zele Racing finished runner-up last year and also clocked the fastest lap of the race.
