Christof von Grünigen will make his Auto GP debut next week-end in Monza, for the fourth round of 2014 season.
Christof, 22 years old from Domdidier in Switzerland, will drive the second car of Zele Racing alongside title-challenger Tamas Pal Kiss. After winning both ESET Formula races at the Red Bull Ring last week, Von Grünigen will join his new squad brimming with confidence.
“I have always been following Auto GP. The main difference to my current Formula Masters car is the engine power. The Auto GP racer has much more horsepower and it’s also bigger. I am really excited about my first race with Zele Racing. I am fully motivated and want to fight for points in Monza“, the Swiss is all excited.
A fortnight ago von Grünigen did some exclusive AutoGP tests with the team convincing principal Michael Zele. „We have been aware of Christof’s endeavours for a while, so we invited him to a test. He did really well, so we are happy to give him this chance of driving on a higher level.“
