Homeboy Kiss starting from front row for Zele Racing

Kiss Budapest QualiLocal hero Tamas Pal Kiss will start from P2 for Austrian outfit Zele Racing at the upcoming Hungarian Grand Prix

While Friday’s free practice sessions took place at very warm spring temperatures, a massive thunderstorm with heavy rain hampered the qualifying sessions later in the day.

Polesetter Markus Pommer and Tamas Pal Kiss had timed their first runs perfectly and just crossed the finish line before the track became impossible to race on. After a half-hour break the rain had stopped, but lap times did not improve anymore.

“It was very tricky out there today, but I just managed to do one good lap in the wet. Starting from the front row tomorrow is perfect”, Kiss said.

Team mate Kuroda narrowly missed out on the second qualifying segment and will start from P12 into Saturday’s race.
