Tamas Pal Kiss added a second place at the Circuit Paul Ricard 24 hours after his victory in France to his tally, teammate Kuroda finished eighth
In heavy rain, Kiss, who celebrated his maiden AutoGP victory in Le Castellet Saturday, stormed from 8th on the grid to finishing runner-up in race 2, just over a second behind winner Kevin Giovesi.
“It was very tricky out there today. Especially in the first few laps visibility was zero and the grip level was very low. However, the longer the race went on, the faster my car became. Things are looking good for us and I am having a great time with the team” Tamas was all smiles.
The Hungarian, who also received the biggest prize money cheque this weekend for a 1st and 2nd place finish, has now closed in on overall leader Kimiya Sato (68) and is only 16 points behind.
Again, the Zele pit crew catered for two excellent pit stops, which helped both drivers to move further up. “Processes are starting to automatize and things are running smoothly. That has paid off in great results this weekend,” team boss Michael Zele was content.
Zele teammate Yoshitaka Kuroda showed a good performance, despite struggling with the rainy conditions. The Japanese finished eighth scoring valuable points for the constructors’ championship.
