Yoshitaka Kuroda will give his comeback in the AutoGP World Series standing in for unavailable Sergio Campana at the Austrian outfit
Campana, who started for Zele Racing at the season opener in Marrakech last weekend, is unable to attend round 2 of the 2014 AutoGP World Series at the Circuit Paul Ricard in Le Castellet due to other commitments.
Therefore, Yoshitaka Kuroda will race alongside team regular Tamas Pal Kiss at the track in Southern France to breach the gap. “I am happy to be back racing. This is a very good opportunity for me to show myself”, Kuroda was delighted.
The 27-year-old raced successfully in Japanese F3 before heading to Europe in 2011. He joined Euronova competing for them in the Italian F3 Series, which he finished in 10th in 2012.
Last season, the Japanese driver was promoted to Euronova’s AutoGP squad coming 16th overall after a rather unlucky season. “I am happy to fix a deal with Yoshi last minute and we will provide him a perfect car for a good result this weekend”, team boss Michael Zele said.
