Tamas Pal Kiss crossed the line in fifth for Zele Racing at the final run of the 2013 AutoGP season in Brno to finish fifth in the championship – teammate Josef Kral was 12th

At the season finale, Tamas Kiss came fifth in Zele Racing’s “foster home race“ in Brno, less than 50 kms from the Austrian border, to finish the 2013 championship campaign on fifth despite having run four races less than his rivals.

“Tamas had some wheel spin at the start and got stuck in midfield. Thus, we had him pit early, so he was able to do some quick laps afterwards. But later in the race, he suffered from oversteer and the foggy weather cost a lot of grip on the track, so we had to settle for P6“, team boss Michael Zele said. After the race, Tamas became fifth after former Zele-driver Narain Karthikeyan was disqualified.

Local hero Josef Kral, who gave his AutoGP debut this weekend, felt more confident in the car than on Saturday, finishing 12th. The 23-year-old Czech “is still battling with getting acquainted to the car, but he is having fun and his pace is improving steadily. The season is over and we are already preparing for the test in Jerez, for which several drivers have been approaching us already”, Zele added.
